Janhvi Kapoor is becoming a centre of attraction for not just the fashion mongers but for the trolls as well. Just when the lady was delighted about her first cover shoot for Vogue India, social media users decided to slam her by called her the ‘most insensitive thing’.
Netizens are angry with Janhvi Kapoor that she has started working so early after her mother Sridevi’s sudden demise in February this year. Janhvi, who is gearing up for her big debut alongside Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter, has been in the public eye since then. Soon after Vogue India shared Janhvi’s picture gracing the cover of the magazine, comments started pouring in. While one user said, “She literally seems so unaffected by her mom’s death, she just want the sympathy for her movie. Has all the time for gym looks and Airport and restaurant PR pictures.” Other commented, “Sheer NEPOTISM! Dey dnt hv nythng else to do.... so y nt join der family business. Bullshit.”
Where people were going crazy posting hateful comments for Jahnvi, designer Masaba Gupta decided to take a stand for her. She lashed out at the users saying, “How do you or anyone else judge how affected or unaffected she is by anything.” Masaba further added, “People need to stop being obsessed with seeing celebrities fall apart & not keep moving forward. This is not the first time that Janhvi is facing the heat of trolls. Earlier when she started shooting for her debut film Dhadak after Sridevi’s demise, she was slammed for not caring about her mother. On the work front, Janhvi has wrapped up Dhadak. The film will release on July 20.
