Veteran actor Kishore Pradhan who has done a number of Bollywood as well Marathi films, has passed away at the age of 86. The actor was prominently known for his comic roles in myriad films. His Subh Lagna Savdhaan co-star Subodh Bhave offered his condolences and called him Kishore Kaka while divulging details about the late actor. Kishore Pradhan was also seen in Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor starrer Jab We Met in a small yet memorable role.
Talking to Indian Express, his co-star Subodh Bhave said, “We worked together in Subh Lagna Savdhaan, but after the film’s release, I couldn’t keep in touch with Kishore Kaka, as he was not keeping well, and I was out shooting for my film. He was keeping unwell. I don’t know the exact reason of his death yet. His family is grieving and busy with preparations for his funeral.”
Former Marathi writer and poet also wrote about Kishore Pradhan’s demise on Facebook. He remembered the veteran actor for mimicking Johny Walker and Jagdip fabulously.
Kishore Pradhan’s last film was Subh Lagna Savdhaan. He was also seen in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Lalbaug Parel and also in Shivaji Raje Bhonsle Boltoy. He was showered with critical praise for his roles in films.
Talking about theatre, Kishore Pradhan has acted in more than 100 Marathi plays and about 18 English plays. He was also seen Lage Raho Munna Bhai. In Jab We Met, he was popularly known for his dialogue, “Akeli ladki khuli hui tijori ki tarah hoti hai.”
