The movie helmed by Remo D'Souza minted Rs 29.17 crore on the first day and became the highest opening day earner of 2018. The action-thriller dethroned Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2, who held the position since its release in March.

It earned Rs 148.86 during its runtime in theatres.

Tubelight marked third collaboration between Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. Despite the opening of Rs 21.15 crore, the movie flickered at the box office. Its total domestic earning was of Rs 119.26 crore.
