As 2019 Lok Sabha elections are underway, political parties have pulled up their socks to impress and intimidate voters (Maneka Gandhi) whichever way suits them the best. The two major parties of the country, Congress and BJP are in no mood to leave any stones unturned to make it to the victory. The General Elections has created a sort of rift in the entertainment industry as well. Last week, more than 600 theatre personalities signed a letter urging people to not vote for BJP and its allies. On the other hand, 900 artistes including Shankar Mahadevan, Koena Mitra, Anuradha Paudwal have issued a joint statement asking people to bring back PM Modi to power.

On a related note, Ranveer is currently busy with the preparations of Kabir Khan's 83. The actor's last two movies- Simmba and Gully Boy performed well at the box office. On the other hand, Deepika is currently in Delhi shooting for her forthcoming movie Chhapaak, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
