Actor Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Sanju, based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt. Ever since the trailer of the film was released, the handsome hunk was praised for his performance and uncanny resemblance with Dutt. In fact, he has also admitted being his fan, but do you know, Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor, who is known for not mincing his words, once lashed out at Sanjay for spoiling his son?
In a recent interview, Ranbir stated that Sanjay treats him like his younger brother and often treats him with gifts. He added that once he gifted him Harley Davidson motorcycle on his birthday and when his dad came to know about it, he scolded Sanjay and said, “Stop spoiling my son, isko tere jaisa mat bana.”
Ranbir went on to say that now Rishi knows that he still has the bike and called it one of his prized possessions. Recalling his meeting with the Bhoomi actor, Ranbir stated that he saw him for the first time in Kashmir when he was shooting with Rishi for Sahibaan.
He stated, “I recall seeing this tall man with long hair, wearing an earring, dressed in a Pathani; I was quite mesmerised by his aura.”
On a related note, Sanju is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also features Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirxa, Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala in pivotal roles. It is all set to hit the screens on June 29.
