Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh has kept everyone on toes as they enjoy their Mehendi ceremony in the beautiful locales of Lake Como, Italy. The duo is all set to tie the know on November 14 and 15, but before that, the couple had a Phool Muddi ceremony, a Konkani tradition engagement ceremony, and exchanged rings with each other on November 12.
According to the reports in Spotboye, “The first tradition that took place in Italy yesterday was Phool Muddi (a traditional Konkani Engagement ceremony). It’s an official engagement kind of thing where the to-be-bride Deepika Padukone’s father welcomed Ranveer Singh and his family, gave him a coconut, and made him sit and wash his feet. After that Deepika and Ranveer officially exchanged rings. The couple's smiles widened, and touch wood, we feel elated when love stories triumph.”
A close group of 35 people that comprised of only family and close friends were in attendance. Tomorrow, the duo will get married according to the Konkani traditions and day after tomorrow it will be a Sindhi-Punjabi wedding for them. After which on November 18, Deepika and Ranveer will return back to Mumbai as a married couple.
According to the reports in Pinkvilla, Deepika and Ranveer want to share the special moment of their lives with their fans and want their friends to share photos which are clicked by the professional photographers. They want to avoid getting caught in any photos off guard. Also, they want to decide themselves which photos will be going online on social media which is why they have not allowed any of their guests to click their pictures.
