Just like the previous year, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are making headlines for their secret wedding reports. Last year, they headed to Dehradun which led to many speculations that the couple is secretly engaged. Now at the same time of the year, they left for Italy for their secret wedding. Reports are saying that a family priest accompanied Anushka and her family to the trip. This had further substantiated the wedding rumours. It’s going to be a low-key affair with only handful of close friends invited.
Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma will be the part of the function. But according to the latest report in Times Now, few celebrities from their respective industry will also be invited. However, the list is going to be a short one. Anushka Sharma’s first co-star Shah Rukh Khan, PK co-star Aamir Kha, YRF’s Aditya Chopra and Band Baaja Baarat Director Maneesh Sharma have been invited. From Virat Kohli’s end, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh have been invited.
“Not many people have been invited, as it is a really small function. Just close ones are invited; Virat’s childhood friends and few of our family members. From cricket fraternity, only Sachin and Yuvraj will be seen, if they make it to the wedding. And of course, Virat’s coach Rajkumar Sharma who once taught him. There were others too, but they can’t make it for the day,” a source close to Virat Kohli told MensXP.
The exact date of the wedding is not yet confirmed. The reports are suggestive that the couple will tie the knot either on December 12 or December 18. As per an exclusive report in Zoom, the couple will be hosting a lavish reception in Mumbai which is tentatively scheduled for December 21-22.
The reception will be attended by all the famous faces of cricket and film fraternity. Invitation to the VVIP’s for the lavish affair have already been sent.
On Thursday night, Anushka Sharma along with her parents, brother and family priest Maharaj Anant Baba of Anant Dham Atmabodh Ashram in Haridwar was seen leaving for Italy at the Mumbai airport. On the other hand, Virat Kohli was seen leaving Delhi airport on Thursday night. The couple is expected to register their marriage in Mumbai on January 12.
