Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is beaming with pride as his daughter Shweta Nanda Bachchan and granddaughter posed for a photoshoot. The mother-daughter duo always makes for a killer combo when they pose for shutterbugs. The two have now come together for Shweta's clothing line MxS.
A proud Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture of his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda posing together.
“It’s Daughter & Daughter UNLIMITED .. the @mxsworld .. a very proud Father and Nana .. my love and blessings ever unlimited,” he captioned the picture on Twitter.
MSXWorld is a fashion label created by Monisha Jaising and Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Amitabh had shared another picture of the two of them earlier this month.
The look also earned a thumbs-up from Abhishek Bachchan, congratulating his sister and niece on the latest venture; he described Navya Naveli as 'the stunning model'.
The soon-to-launched clothing line is a collaboration betwen Shweta Nanda Bachchan and ace-designer Monisha Jaisingh.
Looking their fashionable best, Sheweta and Navya Naveli have let their hair down for this photo shoot. Shweta wears a graffiti skirt paired with a silk camisole, while her daughter strikes a pose wearing a flash tee and bedazzled cargo pants.
Shweta Bachchan Nanda was involved in a bit of a controversy last month when she appeared in an advertisement with her father. The ad was billed as her acting debut and was criticised by members of the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation, an organisation claiming to have membership of around 3,20,000 officers, for being disrespectful towards the banking community. Kalyan Jewellers, the subject of the ad, later pulled it out of circulation.
In a blog post around that time, Shweta explained why she didn’t enter the film industry like the rest of her family. “Let’s just say I chickened out, learning very early on what being in the business meant for me, I chose to live away from its glitter and glamour. This was MY decision, not one thrust on me from any member of my family because of my gender,” she wrote.
