While the entire country is protesting against the two horrific gang rapes and questioning the safety of girls in the nation, actress Sunny Leone took to Twitter to pen a heart-melting note for her baby daughter Nisha Kaub Weber.
Kathua and Unnao gangrape triggered the much-needed outrage across the country with Bollywood celebrities also coming out to seek justice. Amidst all these, Sunny addressed a note to her daughter in which she said, ''I promise with every ounce of my heart, soul and body to protect you from everything and everyone who is evil in this world. Even if that means giving my life for your safety. Children should feel safe against evil hurtful people. Let's hold our children a little closer to us! Protect at all costs!''
Sunny adopted Nisha in 2017. In early 2018, Sunny and Daniel also became parents to twins- Asher and Noah via surrogacy.
Sunny's tweet came in the wake of nationwide outrage over murder and gangrape of 8-year-old child in Jammu & Kashmir's Kathua. The girl was held captive, sedated and raped till her last breath. In another barbaric act, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by BJP MLA of Uttar Pradesh. Her father died in the police custody after allegedly being assaulted by the goons of MLA. Since the news came into limelight, people are demanding justice for the families and girls.
Bollywood celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Kalki Koechlin, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadha among others also took to Twitter to condemn this heinous act.
