Alia Bhatt will soon share screen space with Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in Karan Johar's next film titled Takht.

Popularly known as lady superstar, Sridevi passed away on February 24. Her demise broke many hearts. Sridevi's death turned out to be a shocking news not just for film fraternity but the whole nation. She passed away due to accidental drowning in her hotel bath tub in Dubai. She was in Dubai to attend the wedding ceremony of her nephew Mohit Marwah.

Recently, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt spoke her heart out on Sridevi's demise. In an an interview with Filmfare, Alia spoke in detail about the sudden demise of the Sadma star. Alia said, ‘’Her passing away was devastating for me, like it was for everyone. I was in a restaurant when I heard the news. After that I just couldn’t eat. I broke down and couldn’t stop crying.” 

Sridevi was a great admirer of Alia and her work. Talking more about the English Vinglish actress, Alia said, ‘’What an impact she had on people! She was always so warm and lovely. kind of turnout on the streets during her last rites... she went like a goddess! That was heart-warming.’’

On work front, Alia is currently busy in the shooting of Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra. Alia is also excited to share screen space with Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in Karan Johar's next film titled Takht.
