Ajay Devgn's fresh outing Raid has managed to impress audience with its fantastic storyline and stellar performances. Ajay is back with a character which is tough as nails and has no space for nonsense in his life. But we all know that he is completely different in his real life.
Ajay is known for his pranks among co-stars. He is extremely amusing when the camera stops rolling. However, one of his pranks went horribly wrong and was about to cost a woman her life. The actor narrated an incident to Mid-Day when his prank backfired. Back in the day, one of his newly married co-stars brought his wife, who was not from filmy background to their outdoor shoot. ''We used to shoot at night. She would obviously meet her husband in the mornings. We would keep feeding the wife that her husband is having an affair. And that, in the night, he goes off somewhere. There are no night shoots! I'd tell her that I return to my room at 10.30 [pm],'' he said.
The woman knew that Ajay was a prankster and tried to be unfazed by his words. However, she couldn't remain unaffected by him for a long time. Ajay was successful in creating doubt in her mind. He added, ''She'd tell me that she's heard all about [my pranks]. That she trusts her husband. This carried on for eight days. On the ninth day, we woke up and learnt that she had actually taken pills, had to be rushed to the hospital. She'd been fighting with her husband over this, throughout, checking with him on what the hell he'd been up to!"
On the professional front, Ajay is currently basking in the success of his latest release Raid which has minted over Rs 23 crore. The movie went on to be the third biggest opener of the year after Padmaavat and PadMan.
