Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan who shot to fame with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety success, has become the new face of PETA India’s go vegetarian campaign. It’s a new tongue-in-cheek campaign by the animal rights organisation saying, ‘Chicks love a vegetarian’. The actor enjoys a huge female fan following after his chocolate boy avatars in 4 Luv Ranjan films including Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise. He shared the poster on his social media, saying that’s he proud to be the face of PETA India.
The ad is available in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. With baby chicks perched on his hand, Kartik's photo for the ad was shot by ace photographer Errikos Andreou.
"It only took one video of animals suffering and dying in the meat industry to convince me to go vegetarian. The kindest thing anybody can do for cows, pigs, chickens, and all animals is to stop eating them," Kartik said in a statement.
Last year, the actor was chosen as India's Hottest Vegetarian by PETA. Among the actresses, Anushka Sharma was the chosen one.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is rumoured feature in Pati Patni Aur Woh sequel with Ananya Panday, whom he’s allegedly dating. Also, he will be reportedly seen alongside Sara Ali Khan in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal sequel.
