Abhishek Bachchan broke his two-year-long hiatus from films by signing Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan. The actor's first look was released in which he was seen sporting a turban. His look has already triggered excitement among his fans.
Recently, in an interview with Anupama Chopra, Abhishek revealed how his family reacted when he told them that he wanted a break from work. Abhishek said that his wife was fine with the idea but his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were bit concerned.
''I didn’t say I don’t wanna be an actor anymore, I just said I need to change the kind of films I am doing. It took two years for me to get the right film, that I perceived to be the right film... How was it on the family? I spoke to them, I told them and they were very supportive... They were okay with it. I think somewhere they were like ‘Okay, one year has gone by, what is this guy doing? I think that’s a parental instinct. My wife was fine because I walk my family through everything I do so they are on the same page,'' the actor said.
Abhishek said that taking the break was the best thing he has done in his career as it helped him understanding things in a better way.
Abhishek recently completed shooting of Kashyap's film in Kashmir and Ludhiana. Manmarziyaan bankrolled by Aanand L Rai also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal and is slated to release in September. Abhishek will also be seen in the fourth instalment of Housefull franchise. The actor was last seen in 2016 flick Housefull 3.
