Since the release of the trailer of his upcoming film Manmarziyaan, Abhishek Bachchan has been garnering praises from all corners. The actor will be seen on screen after a gap of two years and the fans can’t control their excitement to see him. It has been 18 years that Abhishek Bachchan has been entertaining the masses with his excellent performances but the actor says that he still feels like a newcomer.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, when Abhishek was asked about his glorious 18 years, he said, “Someone asked me, ‘oh, it’s been 18 years’ but I was like, ‘it doesn’t feel like that long’. It still feels like we are all newcomers. There’s the same exuberance, energy as well as enthusiasm. I just feel extremely happy and blessed. I think you have to realize that getting an opportunity to make movies and being a part of them is a gift. You should never take that lightly and must be thankful for that all the time.”
While the actor is ready to bounce back into the showbiz with Manmarziyaan, he is also gearing up for his next film Gulab Jamun with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Talking about the movie, Junior Bachchan said, “It’s a very sweet script that both Aishwarya and I have liked a lot. It’s directed by a wonderful new director, Sarvesh Mewara, and will be produced by Anurag Kashyap and his company. But we still have to work out when we are going to do it. We are finishing work on the script but it’s something we [Aishwarya and he] definitely want to do.”
He was also asked if Aaradhya understands the level of responsibilities her surname adds. On this, he said, “Aaradhya is a very sweet kid but I don’t think she understands that bit. She knows we are actors, who appear in films and on TV. She also realises that her dadi ma goes to the Parliament. But I don’t think she understands the concept of, ‘oh, my parents and grandparents are really famous people’. We have tried to keep things as normal as possible for her. Her mother teaches her all of that. Aishwarya is very good at keeping Aaradhya grounded.”
Recently, Abhishek was filled with pride and love after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at the first ever WIFT (Women in Film and Television) India Awards. Sharing an adorable picture of their daughter Aaradhya hugging Aishwarya Rai while holding the award, he wrote, "And the Mrs. is awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at WIFT. The little one gives her a congratulatory hug, and I look on (to the photo) a very proud husband!"
