Aamir Khan made a spectacular debut on Instagram on his 53rd birthday by sharing an old picture of his mother Zeenat Hussain.

Bollywood’s perfectionist Aamir Khan turned a year older today. The superstar is celebrating his 53rd birthday with his family in Mumbai. The actor flew from Jodhpur, where he was shooting for his upcoming film Thugs of Hindostan. The mullti-starrer film also stars Amitabh Bacchan and Katrina Kaif. On the special day, Aamir Khan made his Instagram debut. He also treated his fans by going live on the social media where several fans extended good wishes to the Dangal star on his birthday.

In his first live Instagram video, Aamir also talked about Thugs of Hindostan and said that the makers are trying their best to release the film on Diwali 2018. Watch the video right here.

On Wednesday, Aamir shared a multi-image collage grid of his mother's picture on his verified Instagram profile. One of the pictures was captioned: "The person because of whom I am who I am."

Aamir Khan got a warm welcome at the airport from none other than wife Kiran Rao. She took along a bouquet of flowers for her main man and the two indulged in some loving PDA, including tight hugs and passionate kisses while under the media glare.

Later, the two were seen meeting the media and cutting a cake with them and clicking pictures. But before that, they once again kissed each other, not caring about so many cameras panning at them.

Aamir Khan also revealed that his son Azad gave him a handmade birthday card and a dart board on his 53rd birthday.
