New Delhi: After tasting success with “Ragini MMS” and “Love Sex Aur Dhokha”, Raj Kumar Yadav will be seen playing a cop opposite Aamir Khan in “Talaash”.

The actor feels lucky to have got the opportunity to work with Aamir at such an early stage in his career.

“'Talaash' is a suspense thriller and Aamir and I are playing the two cops who are investigating the whole thing. It was a great experience I have learnt a lot from him.

I think he is the biggest star and a brilliant actor,” Yadav told PTI.  The 27-year-old said he was not nervous working with the “Taare Zameen Par” star because he gave him the due respect of a co-star.

“I am lucky to be working with him. I was not nervous when he was around because he gave me that space, that respect which a co-actor should give... He used to be there for my look test and rehearsals which was very encouraging,” he said.

Yadav started his career in 2010 and after only two years in the industry he has his hands full with films like “Kai Po Che!”, “Gangs of Wasseypur Part 2”, “Talaash”, “Queen” and “Chittagong”.

“I consider myself lucky in a way because I am getting good opportunities to prove myself as an actor. It is not that I haven't struggled hard, I faced a lot rejections in that one year span when I came to Mumbai and got LSD. But it only motivated me to do good work. I want to be known as an actor who is different,” he said.

He had many intimate scenes in his first film “Love Sex Aur Dekha (LSD) but Yadav says he does nOt mind doing such scenes and he has no inhibitions as an actor.

“The only thing I thought is that I am working with Dibakar Banerjee who is one of the best directors... I am doing a lead in his film so I couldn't ask for more. My family was a little apprehensive at first but they know how passionate I am towards my craft. They have seen the film and they are very proud of it,” he said.

Yadav also feels this is the best time to be in the industry as people are choosing talent over pretty faces and muscular bodies.

“This is the best time to be in the industry because now people need actors, they need talent. That time has gone when they only saw faces and they needed muscular bodies.

They need character actors so I am very lucky I am in the industry at this point. Cause I have more options and opportunities to prove myself,” he said.
