Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was insisting that he will only act in Dreams, if Vishal Bhardwaj directs a film for his production house. Khan's loss is Vivaan's gain, who has now bagged a three-film deal, says a media report. After actress Priyanka Chopra, it is Vivaan Shah (Naseeruddin Shah's son) who has become director Vishal Bhardwaj's muse.
Apart from signing a three-film deal with Vishal and starring in Saat Khoon Maaf, Vivaan has bagged the lead role in Dreams, which was initially to be essayed by Saif Ali Khan.
Khan eventually did not do the project, as Vishal did not agree to his barter deal; Khan wanted Bhardwaj to direct a film for his production house, which the director flatly refused to do.
In Dreams, Vivaan will be rubbing shoulders with Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. This will be his second film with Priyanka after Saat Khoon Maaf.
A source says, “Vishal sir is extremely impressed with Vivaan and believes that this young boy has immense talent. Saat Khoon Maaf is Vivaan's debut film where he plays a pivotal role of a sutradhar and is there throughout the film. Vivaan has delivered his best with each frame.
Vivaan has been a lucky soul to receive training from Vishal sir as well as his talented father Naseeruddin Shah.”
“Dreams is again a complicated script, and Vivaan's role is very intriguing. Having bagged such a role at such a young age speaks volume about the debutant” adds the source. Vivaan's manager, Jairaj Patil, confirmed, “Yes Vivaan has a three-movie deal with Vishal and has signed Dreams.” Atta boy!
