New Delhi: Actor Vishal Thakkar who played was seen in movies like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Chandni Bar and in the hit telly show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, has been missing since January 1, suggest media reports.
The actor was last year embroiled in controversy when his alleged girlfriend accused him of rape and violence. Vishal was not in town when his girlfriend had complained against him. He later surrendered himself and said he wasn't guilty. His girlfriend too withdrew the case later after they resolved their issues and resumed dating.
But seems, the episode affected Vishal in many ways. If news on a leading entertainment portal is to be believed then Vishal, was taken aback by the entire incident, especially when he was being labelled as a rapist all over the Internet. Apparently, he was shaken and behaving in a disoriented manner. After this scandal, it was tough for him to find work as well.
On New Year's Eve, he told his mother that he was going to watch Star Wars movie with his girlfriend. On the other hand, on 1st January he told his girlfriend that he was heading back home. .
A resident of Charkop, Kandivali, Vishal's mother lodged a missing complaint with the police on January 6.
