Vidya Balan celebrates her Birthday with family

New delhi, Jan 1:There's been buzz in the industry about newly-weds Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur hosting a wedding reception on January 4 for their friends in the industry. However, an insider reveals that it's not a wedding reception, but a dinner get-together being hosted by Ronnie Screwvala and wife Zarina for Vidya and Siddharth. There is time for the event to happen. For today, its Vidya's Birthday and the lady has decided to celebrate this occasion and the first day of 2013 with her family.Yes, its Ooh la la lady adding one more year of experience into her life, turning it to 35 today, and it could be termed as one of the most awaited Birthday in Indian cinema, as the lady proves out to be the hero of the Bollywood in 2011-12. Her daring acts as Silk Smitha in Ekta kapoor's “Dirty Picture” and Sujoy Ghosh 'Kahani', she surprised every companion by the act which no one expected from her, bringing back the era of the healthy sexier ladies into Bollywood. Balan made her movie debut in the Bengali film, Bhalo Theko in 2003. She later made her Hindi film debut with Parineeta (2005), which earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut as well as her first Best Actress nomination at the same ceremony. She subsequently essayed a variety of character roles, receiving her first commercial success with Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). She subsequently appeared in such films as Guru (2007), Heyy Babyyand Bhool Bhulaiyaa (both 2008), the latter earning her another Filmfare nominationIn 2009 she appeared as a single mother of a child suffering from progeria in R. Balki's Paa, her performance in which ultimately won her a Best Actress award at Filmfare. 2010 saw the release of Ishqiya, starring Balan in a role for which she was praised and awarded. A year later she followed it with two acclaimed portrayals of real-life characters, Sabrina Lal and Silk Smitha in the biopics No One Killed Jessica and The Dirty Picture, respectively. While in 2012, she carried her persona with brilliant performance in ‘Kahani'. In fact “Dirty picture” did magic for her, bringing latest addition to the search engines in the cyber world, as this flick was most hunted by the viewers in the year ending 2011, and making most of the natives in the Bollywood admiring and praising her while leaving others to be jealous for achieving such success.With Kahani's success we also have another reason to congratulate her as she is now married to a film producer Siddharth Roy Kapoor.
