Mumbai, Jan 13: "Bigg Boss" season 6 winner Urvashi Dholakia says it was her straightforward nature that helped her win, saying she is exactly like she appeared onscreen.

The actress said that she was not trying to change herself to get accepted by the rest of the house mates.

"This is the way I am and how I have always been. You can ask everyone. I told them I never thought that I could last so much also," Urvashi told IANS in an interview.

"My straightforwardness works against me but today it worked for me and I won," she said.

The actress said that it is very important to be the way you are and she lives by this philosophy herself.

"My personal experience is that be the way you are. You don't need to become someone else or have a split personality. If you are accepted the way you are then it is good," she said.

Urvashi also said that she doesn't intend to use this platform to take her career ahead in any way, and views this public platform as a way to showcase herself.

"I don't intend to use this platform. I never came to use it. This platform has given me an opportunity to showcase how I am," she

Talking about co-contestant Imam Siddique, Urvashi said that she saw a positive and negative side in him. She said that the image consultant was playing a game in the house and accepted this as himself as well.

"Imam was playing a game and he claims it too. I always believed that there was a good and bad side of him. He has humanity but his other side, I can't understand. So when that used to happen I used to feel weird. I don't think anyone supported him from the beginning but me. All I told him was that he should leave this negativity," she said.

The actress is best known for her role as a vamp in show, "Kasautii zindagii kay" and says that she is open to work in films as well as television too.

"Work is work....I respect all kind of work. The industry has always been very welcoming for me. Even when I came after my separation, they accepted me and made me reach here," she said.

Even after having won an amount of Rs.500,000 on the show, the actress said that it was never the prize money which attracted her to the show.

"The money was not at all important for me. I didn't come here because of that. I never earned so much money together ever in my life. I can say this openly and this is a big thing for me. And I am very confident this time," she said.

"I believe in the philosophy that the more you run after something, the more it runs away from you," she said.

Urvashi was seen to be one of the strongest contestants in the show. Being a single mother of three, she said that she does get shattered at times, but composes herself and tries again.

"I do get shattered but then I resurrect my confidence. My career was written off in 2008 only by some people. My mother has taught me that what you sow that you shall reap and everything happens in this world only. So whatever you do, do it after thinking nicely," she said.

She feels that it is entirely up to a person how they deal with the competition and problems around them.

"I am a human being and I have my down moments too... But this world is all about fighting for survival. Every field has competitors and it is up to you how to deal with it," she said.
