New Delhi: Acclaimed for his films Karz (1980), Hero (1983), Ram Lakhan (1989), Saudagar (1991), Khalnayak (1993), Pardes (1997) and Taal (1999), the legendary filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who has turned 68 today, was once a "Showman" of Hindi film industry in the Eighties and Nineties.
Ghai is one of the biggest catalysts of the way “Bollywood” is perceived by the world. The director considers this a compliment.
