Born on June 26, 1980, Uday Kiran Vajapeyajula graduated in commerce at Wesley College, Secunderabad. He started modelling and married Vishitha on October 24, 2012.
Prior to that, he was engaged to famous actor Chiranjeevi's daughter Sushmitha in 2003, but the engagement was called off because of incompatibility issues.
