Mumbai: With director Sajid Khan all set to make Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer ‘Himmatwala' with Ajay Devgn in the lead, the veteran actor's son Tusshar says he is not jealous of Devgn stepping into his father's shoes.

Ajay Devgn would be playing the character of Jeetendra from the latter's super hit film of 1983.  “I don't think I would be able to do ‘Himmatwala' as he (Jeetendra) was in his 40s when he did the film. Ajay is best and he has got action image also.

I am happy that right actor is doing it. I am happy that the film is made by a right, successful director,” Tusshar told PTI.  On if he was jealous of Ajay doing the film, Tusshar said, “We are not jealous...as I am not dying to do ‘Himmatwala' and Ekta is also not dying to produce it.”

“As long as it gets made well, gets a good release, and people are throwing coins in theatre like they did for original, that is victory. It was one of the greatest hits of his time, but there is a huge list,” he said.  Director Sajid Khan is positive that his movie will earn Rs 100 crore within its first week itself.

On if he and producer sister Ekta Kapoor ever thought of remaking ‘Himmatwala', Tusshar said, “We have not thought of it. Sajid has always told me he liked the film and he wanted to do it. I am dying to see it, what he has done.” “If I had to act in any of my father's remakes then I would like to do films like ‘Carvan' and ‘Farz', as he was young and I am also young,” he said.

“Also now action time is going on...but when the time of family dramas come in, his (Jeetendra) films like ‘Maang Bharo Sajna' and others can be made,” he said.  The leading lady for Sajid Khan's newer version has not been announced yet, but the director says she will be a newcomer. This film will go on floors from August.  Meanwhile, Tusshar is gearing up for his next release, ‘Kya Super Kool Hain Hum', a sequel to the 2005-hit ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum'.

Releasing on July 27, the film, directed by Sachin Yardi, features Tusshar, Riteish Deshmukh, Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias.
