New Delhi: The much awaited trailer of the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Tamasha' was launched today with much fanfare. The beginning of the promo paints the movie as a trademark nomadic love story by director Imitiaz Ali. Ranbir Kapoor's Ved Sahni looks like the typical engineer who has achieved everything expected of him and refers to himself as ‘Hero'. Deepika Padukone's Tara is a vivacious girl who believes, ‘What happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica'. The movie traces the story of how Ved and Tara's life changes when their promise to never tell the truth to each other, breaks one's heart.

Pictures from the sets of the movie that were doing the rounds of the Internet suggested that this one will be on the same lines of the 2013 movie ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. YJHD, the last outing of

Deepika and Ranbir together, garnered a lot of appreciation from both critics and audiences.

Those who thought ‘Tamasha' is going to be a lot like YJHD are in for a surprise. The trailer testifies that ‘Tamasha' loses the lavish touch of the 2013 release. No loud party numbers, extravagant weddings or friends vacationing together but definitely a lot of travelling and raw emotions.

Fans of the couple had been waiting with bated breath to see them romance on screen. The ex-lovers turned friends have finally put a stop to the wait of their fans by unveiling the trailer.  At the event the lead pair put up a good show for the media with their jokes, rants and applause for each other.

Dealing with false identities and lies, one can expect to ride an emotional rollercoaster with this movie. Watch the ‘Tamasha' trailer here:
