Mumbai: Bollywood actor and former Congress MP Govinda was supposed to take part in the shooting for  Yash Raj production film Kill Dil on Tuesday evening at Marve Beach, but police stopped the film crew from shooting because of immersion of Ganesh idols. Finally, the crew had to complete the shooting at some other location.

Malwani police was present at Marve beach to oversee arrangements for idol immersion, and when police found huge arclights at the beach, inspector Abdul Rauf Sheikh sent a police constable to inquire.

Govinda, who was supposed to come in the morning and was late for the shoot, told the constable to tell his senior that he was an MP, but the unit crew could not show any permission from either the police or BMC.

When the inspector ordered the shooting to be stopped, the ex-MP ordered the inspector to come to him, but the latter refused.  Finally, Govinda went up to the inspector for a confrontation.
