New Delhi: Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Singham Returns is finally over it's first weekend and has managed a fantabulous note minting Rs 77.64 cr nett in India becoming the second biggest weekend grosser of the year.

Singham Returns after around 40% percent decline on Saturday (Rs 21.05 cr) recovered well on Sunday with over 16 % growth and garnered Rs 24.50 cr nett in India.

“SinghamReturns Fri 32.09 cr, Sat 21.05 cr, Sun 24.50 cr. Total: Rs 77.64 cr nett. India biz. Ajay Devgn's BIGGEST OPENER!”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

For Ajay Devgn it's the biggest weekend ever in terms of collection while for director Rohit Shetty it's second after Chennai Express which by this time entered into Rs 100 cr club.

The flick has also surpassed Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3's three days collection of Rs 72.8 cr nett in India but falling short of the expectation, Singham Returns couldn't beat this year's biggest grosser ‘Kick' starring Salman Khan which within three days of its release made Rs 83.3 cr nett in India.

“SinghamReturns is the SECOND BIGGEST OPENER of 2014. After #Kick. Note: 3-day weekend. India biz”, writes Adarsh.

None other than Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan is ruling the charts in weekend with Rs 107.61 cr nett in India.

Since, it's an extended weekend till today (Janmashtami holiday), Singham Returns is expected to add moolah at box office. Another 22.36 cr today will make this flick the fastest Rs 100 grosser of the year leaving behind Kick which took five days for it.

Alongwith this, the flick will also take over the lifetime collection of Ajay-Rohit's very own ‘Singham' (Rs 100.30 cr). But will it happen today? We have to wait for that.

At overseas the flick within first two days of its release collected Rs 2.9 cr including Rs 2.66 cr alone in UAE-GCC.

“SinghamReturns continues its victory march in UAE-GCC. Thu AED 750,000, Fri AED 850,000. Total: AED 1,600,000 [Rs 2.66 cr]. EXCELLENT!”, tweeted Adarsh.

Kick is now snailing at box office and by its fourth weekend the flick has crossed Rs 230 cr mark at domestic box office. "Kick [Week 4] Fri 53 lacs, Sat 43 lacs, Sun 61 lacs. Grand total: Rs 230.69 cr nett. India biz. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER!", writes Adarsh.

Akshay Kumar's 'Entertainment' is going strong and within ten days of its release the flick has garnered Rs 65.61 cr nett in India. "Entertainment [Week 2] Fri 3.52 cr, Sat 2.47 cr, Sun 3.12 cr. Grand total: Rs 65.61 cr nett. India biz", confirms Adarsh.

This week it's Rani Mukerji's ‘Mardaani' going to hit the theatres and expectation are high since it's actress first movie post her marriage. But looking at the response to Singham Retuns, the YRF's production will get a stiff competition.

Here is the three-day breakup of Singham Returns-
