Chennai: For the second year in a row, actor Simbu aka Silambarasan, won't have a release in a lead role. The actor's upcoming Tamil film "Vaalu", which was earlier scheduled for Dec 24 release, has now been pushed to next year.
Simbu feels disappointed for not keeping up his promise to release "Vaalu" this year.
"As an actor my job is limited, limited to acting and sharing inputs of creative here and there. I never interfere in any trade related activities of my films, be it the distribution or exhibition," Simbu said in a statement.
"Needless to say I'm disappointed too, for not fulfilling the desires of my fans but this is the law of the trade and I abide by it. Regrets apart, I wish to welcome 2015 with 'Vaalu' in February and follow it up with 'Idhu Namma Aalu' as a midsummer treat," he added.
In the last two years, Simbu has only featured in cameos in Tamil films such as "Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasiya" and "Inga Enna Solludhu".
