New Delhi: The Ek Villain stars Sidharth, Shraddha and Riteish Deshmukh have made it to the league of the superstars and the expectations from them have soared up. Not only because this romantic-revenge saga went superhit raking in more than Rs 100 cr in just two weeks but also the co-actors went a step ahead and proved their acting prowess after which their fans are craving for more.
Particularly for Sidharth and most of all Riteish Deshmukh who was a surprise package for the audience. If fans loved Sidharth and Shraddha's romantic angle, they equally admired Ritiesh's shocking negative act of a serial killer.
Director Mohit Suri too for the first time took risk and stepped out of his Vishesh Bhatt camp to join Ekta Kapoor's ‘Balaji Pvt Ltd' to try his luck. Nevertheless ‘Ek Villain' was a test tube for everyone and it gave tremendous results for all.
The flick is not only Rs 100 cr club's new member but also is looking to surpass 2 States, Holiday and Jai Ho's lifetime collection which stand at Rs 104 cr, Rs 112.65 cr and Rs 111 cr respectively.
Ek Villain by its third weekend has minted Rs 2.05 cr nett and by today it would leave behind Alia-Arjun's ‘2 States'. “EkVillain Weekend 3 - Rs 2.05 cr. Grand total: Rs 103.37 cr nett. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER”, tweets trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
But now, what's next for Sidharth, Shraddha, Riteish and Mohit? Let us have a look at it.
Shraddha Kapoor- The actress who has tasted the success with Mohit Suri's Aashqui 2 and Ek Villain will now be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's ‘Haider' an adaptation of William Shakespeare's ‘Hamlet'. The trailer is already out and the actress who plays a Kashmiri girl does impress her fans. Unlike earlier acts, Shraddha has taken a challenging character which also requires her to adopt an unfamiliar language.
Mohit Suri- The romantic sagas director, next year will come up with ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani' starring Vidya Balan, who for the first time will work in Vishesh Bhatt camp, along with Emraan Hashmi and Rajkumar Rao. Mohit has been adapting ideas from foreign flicks giving his own dimension but this time the story line of his upcoming is said to be inspired by his uncle Mahesh Bhatt. It must be interesting to see, how he treats the story.
Sidharth Malhotra- The actor now requires working really hard for a Hollywood remake of ‘Warrior', a flick narrating an intense relationship of two real brothers who face each other in mixed martial arts tournament. More than the verbal communication his character would create an impact with his brawny look and ruthless raw battle. Well, this is a flick which one should look forward to.
Riteish Deshmukh- Last but not the least it's Riteish Deshmukh. The expectations are high and so we know he wouldn't disappoint any of his fans. However, after Ek Villain and Lai Bhaari, a Marati masala flick, his next dramas are mostly comedy include Bank Chor and Bangistaan next year but as an ardent fan now we are, we expect him to explore more of his colours.
