New Delhi: The Sidharth-Shraddha starrer ‘Ek Villain' is racing towards Rs 100 cr club as within ten days of its release the flick did a superb collection of Rs 92.88 cr nett collection in India. The business for the Mohit Suri's directorial escalated over the second weekend.

Since the two new releases ‘Bobby Jasoos' and ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' last Friday couldn't impress its audience, ‘Ek Villain' capitalized over the opportunity and made impressive Rs 15.68 cr in second weekend.

“EkVillain [Week 2] Fri 4.30 cr, Sat 5.10 cr, Sun 6.28 cr. Grand total: Rs 92.88 cr nett. India biz. Galloping towards Rs 100 cr. AWESOME!”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

By the end of its second week, this musical revenge saga is expected to enter the elite club of Rs 100 cr club. And not only has this, according to trade analyst the flick proved to be the highest grosser for Producer Ekta Kapoor and director Mohit Suri.

“EkVillain is Ekta Kapoor [crosses #TheDirtyPicture] and Mohit Suri's [crosses #Aashiqui2] HIGHEST GROSSER so far”, confirms Adarsh.

On the other hand, the Vidya Balan's ‘Bobby Jasoos' however, has shown growth over the weekend but nothing extraordinary. Also having less number of screens compared to Ek Villain, Bobby Jasoos made mere Rs 7.58 cr.

“BobbyJasoos Fri 1.78 cr, Sat 2.58 cr, Sun 3.22 cr. Total: Rs 7.58 cr nett. India biz”, write Adarsh.

Mostly received good reviews particularly for its music and performances; Ek Villain has also impressed its audiences all over.

The single screen theatres alongside multiplexes are witnessing brilliant footfalls and now if it continues with the same momentum, there are possibilities that Akshay Kumar's Holiday and Salman Khan's Jai Ho may be brought down in box office chart.
