Manish Sharma who has directed flicks like Band Baaja Baarat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl has taken a unique concept of the live-in relationship and confusion before marriage and presented it intelligently. This is no usual sort of love triangle stuffed with all old masala ingredients but is an intriguing premise which deserves an attention.
It begins with the Gulabi city Jaipur where the Raghu Ram (Sushant Singh Rajput) is about to marry Tara (Vaani Kapoor). Just a day before he meets Gayatri (Parineeti Chopra) who pretends to be his sister in his marriage. On the D-Day the confused Raghu dumps his marriage and runs away from there. Later he again comes across Gayatri and this time he shares a live-in relationship and finally proposes her to marry. But this time he is the victim as Gayati runs on the date of wedding. But destiny brings all the three together and how they deal with it is what ‘Shuddh Desi Romance' tells you.
