New Delhi: The 2008 movie Rock On came as a fresh breath of air to movie goers. The first Bollywood movie about hard core rock music, the movie blended the emotions of the youth and their passion for music way too well.
After the immense success of this Abhishek Kapoor directed movie, fans were excited when a sequel was announced. The second instalment of the movie will be helmed by Shujaat Saudagar. Apart from the actors Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai who featured in Rock On, Shraddha Kapoor will also join the team.
Now we have some information about the story around which the movie will revolve.
Rock On 2 will focus more on rock music and not on any love story. You might be expecting that Shraddha would be cast opposite Farhan. But that's not the case. Prachi Desai will continue to play Farhan's wife and Shraddha Kapoor will be an additional member of the band.
An insider revealed, “Shraddha's role is more pivotal than Prachi's. The film will be more about the rock band and will feature more members, including these two.”
The film will be primarily shot in Shillong and Mumbai. The filmmakers are eyeing an August 2016 release and the film is expected to go on the floors this September.
