Intolerance Row: Shah Rukh defends Aamir, asks why 'politicians' are not targeted

New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come forward in support of Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan who is struck amidst the controversy after speaking his opinion on ‘growing intolerance' in the country.

Talking to a leading daily, Shah Rukh said that his B-town colleague Aamir has been misquoted. 

The Dilwlae star also pointed finger at the ‘double standards' followed by the society. He said, “When politicians say such things about secularism, it is accepted but when a star says something, it is blown out of proportion”.

“I have now learnt to say this question is not for me, SRK added.

However, Shah Rukh stated that if a person is on social media then he has to be prepared for the public criticism and backlashing. Barring abuse to daughter and sister, an individual should be ready for the noise, he added.
