Salman's Mental to release on Nov 22nd, may perturb Bhansali's Ram Leela

New Delhi, April 29: Mental, the most awaited flicks of 2013 starring Salman Khan, Daisy Singh and Tabu will hit the theatres in the month of Diwali. The makers of the most ambitious projects has cemented 22nd November, 2013 as the date to its release.While, Salman's admirers may have a reason to rejoice, Mental's release date would be a worrisome for Salman's ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali whose ‘Ram Leela' starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will shimmer the screens just a week after Mental's release.If so happens then Mental will affect Ram Leela's box-office collection by entering into the second week of it's release, as this is the only project by Dabangg Khan this year and history is answerable for his dominating success for 4 consecutive years. Here Bhansali must be hoping to claim more and more single and multiplex screens for his release so that he could get his share of pie.Meanwhile, the film's opening has been a subject of speculation ever since it was announced. While Salman and his director brother Sohail Khan initially planned to ready it for an Eid release, it was soon obvious that the star would not be able to complete the film on time owing to health problems. Salman has been barred from keeping a hectic schedule because of a chronic pain condition (Trigeminal Neuralgia) he has been battling for a few years now. But as it turns out, two schedules of the film - shot in Dubai and Kolhapur - had already been completed by Saturday, when Sohail locked November 22 as Mental's release date. As filming continues, stills from a song shoot leaked online show Salman sweating it out during rehearsals in Lavasa. The stills suggest the song, which has been choreographed by Remo, is a typical loud masala number, with Salman sporting a flashy look comprising a white t-shirt, denim jacket and orange shades. The team will reportedly shift to Goa after this to shoot the remaining portions. Mental is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Stalin, starring Chiranjeevi, which was released in 2006. While Ghajini maker A. Murugadoss directed the original, Salman has given Sohail charge of the remake.The film introduces Daisy Shah as Salman's love interest, while Tabu plays a supporting role. Mukul Dev has been signed up as the villain. Bhansali must now be hoping that enough screens - single and multiplex - are willing to let go of Mental after a week's run to accommodate the release of his film.
