New Delhi: Just two days it's been for ‘Badlapur' teaser release and the lead protagonist Varun Dhawan is bombarded with praises for his brutal avatar. Bollywood bigwigs alongside his fans are going ga-ga over Varun Dhawan's intense look and performance in the flick but what could be bigger for a actor than being applauded by Salman Khan himself.
Yes, just after watching the shocking and disturbing one and a half minute teaser of ‘Badlpur', the Dabangg Khan couldn't control himself from praising Jr Dhawan as he took on the micro boggling website twitter and wrote, “Wah yaar! Kamaal karte ho mr varun ! Badlapur ? Already tryin diff stuff :) ? Film lookin good. Baap ka record tord do jaldi . Happy fr u .”
Well, that would be the biggest achievement for any Gen X actor to be appreciated like this by none other than the ‘bhai' of Bollywood. But in Salman's latest tweet one thing which isn't clear is which record the actor is talking about and asking Varun to break while who is the ‘baap' he is referring to.
It's known fact that Salman and Varun's dad David Dhawan have been a perfect jodi of actor-director in Bollywood for over a decade giving comedy-action flicks like ‘Judwaa', ‘Biwi No. 1', ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', ‘Partner' among others. These movies have also been one of the biggest grosses of the year they were released in.
To be or not to be, Salman Khan who holds the record of the highest grosser of the year with ‘Kick' may have asked to break the box office record of his father's biggest hits or it may also be his own, which is ‘Kick'.
There are also the possibilities that Dabbang Khan is asking Varun Dhawan to destroy some of the biggest records at box office, which are hailed by the three Khans and Hrithik Roshan.
The other speculation can be Salman wanting Varun to break the genre, which dad David has been dealing with since years that is comedy.
Well, what exactly is it isn't clear but one thing is sure that Varun Dhawan who is just three flicks old is ready to take up the new challenges by playing different roles. He doesn't want to bracket himself with the chocolate boy roles as he has realised that in times, an actor has to show an all round performance.
As far as Salman's tweet of admiration is concerned, Varun is smart enough to realise what he actually meant.
