New Delhi: Ever since Salman Khan's ‘Sultan' was announced, there has been speculation about who will play the leading lady opposite Salman.
Various names were rumoured to be confirmed for the film from Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif and from Kangana Ranaut to Parineeti Chopra but none of the assumptions proved true.
However, it seems the makers of ‘Sultan' have finally decided upon the female lead.
It's the ‘Band Baja Baarat' star Anushka Sharma.
If media reports are to be believed, Anushka Sharma has been approached for the film and will be seen romancing Salman on the silver screen.
It will be the first time Anushka and Salman are paired together.
Reportedly, the film is supposed to go on the floors by November this year as Anushka Sharma is expected to complete the first schedule of Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in London by November.
According to sources, the makers have already started pre-production of ‘Sultan'.
While Salman Khan will be seen as a wrestler in the film, ‘Sultan' is likely to release on Eid next year.
