Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan has decided to show the first song of Ek Tha Tiger to all singlescreen theatre ushers ahead of its public release on Independence Day, says a report.
“Salman has always been considered the king of single screens and a hero of the masses. So the idea is to have the single-screen staff watch Salman's song first and get their reactions. The decision was jointly taken by Salman and the Yash Raj marketing team,” says an insider.
Yashraj Films honchos are still deciding upon which song to release first.
“The first track showcases Salman and co-star Katrina Kaif in a dance number. It is likely to be shown to ushers at Gaiety theatre in Bandra on coming Thursday.
"We aren't sure yet if bhai will also be present at the screening,” says the insider.
“We are planning to have a special screening of the song for single-screen ushers. But the rest of the details are being finalised as we speak”, said a spokesperson.
"Now, of course, he is a big star across the board. But he knows how much the masses have loved and appreciated his films in the past.
“Plus, ushers at single-screens truly understand the audience's pulse. People also tend to check with them about a film. So their reaction will give us a heads up about the film.”
