Bollywood under terror: Now Salman Khan and Farhan Akhar threatened by underworld (view pics)

New Delhi: Seems like gangland is on a tormenting spree and is set to take Bollywood by fear. Latest to be threatened is none other than superstar Salman Khan who was called upon by one of the active underworld groups these days lead by Ravi Pujari.Also filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, producers Farhan Azmi and Ritesh Sidhwani are being ringed regularly since last month by the insane leaders asking for extortion. Before taking the route to the crime branch for help, Salman had a verbal spat on the phone he received early in the morning in December last year. But they were all least affected by the arguments. Joining him the others also took the route of the Mumbai crime cell. The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Mumbai Police are investigating the matter. A leading daily quoted Crime Branch Chief Sadanand Date as saying, “I have only recently taken over. I am not aware of this case. I will call Salman, Farhan Akhtar, Farhan Azmi, and Ritesh Siddhwani over to my office and look into their complaints.”But catching underworld has never been a cake walk since they keep changing shelters in different countries. Currently, it is said that Ravi Pujari is residing in Australia and has been channelising his activities from there. Last year Akshay Kumar, Boney Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Vivek Oberoi, singer Sonu Nigam, filmmakers namely Ram Gopal Verma and Karan Johar, also received threat calls from the criminal world. But even after all the measures taken by the Mumbai police and special Anti Terrorist Squad, there didn't seem a decline in the number of calls of threats but surely an increase.Singer Sonu Nigam was called up by Chhota Shakeel who is India's most wanted man Dawood Ibrahim's gang member, filmmaker RGV's upcoming underworld based flick ‘Satya 2' too irked Chhota Shakeel for challenging him through flicks controversial caption which reads, “Dawood Ibrahim has retired, Chota Rajan has become inactive, Abu Salem is in jail.... Coming to reinvent the underworld.”RGV over the serious issued last year tweeted, “On basis of an intercepted conversation Mumbai police gave me security..for various reasons I cant duvulge the contents of the threat. For some important reasons I cannot comment on whether or not this threat to me is related to the content of Satya 2 (sic).”Producer Boney Kapoor and producer-director Karan Johar too were spotted filing complaints at Mumbai police station for extortion calls from gangsters in the last few months.
