New Delhi: It would be a dream come true for Deepika Padukone if she has signed opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar's ‘Sultan'. However, there is no official confirmation over this, but the news doing the rounds has in that the two stars will be sharing screen space in YRF's next.
Deepika Padukone who until now has starred only opposite Shah Rukh among the three big Khans of Bollywood has been approached to pair up with the Dabangg Khan. “Salman and Deepika were to co-star in Shuddhi, but she could not do that film. She has already done three films with Shah Rukh Khan and was keen to do a film with Salman”, a leading website Bollywoodlife quoted its source as saying.
The action drama was about to go on floors by this year end but since Salman is busy with his two back to back projects namely Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he has pushed it further.
According to leading daily, initially, it was Katrina Kaif's name doing rounds as the film's female lead but now Deepika Padukone is actually the front runner for the part.
Apparently Salman was so impressed with the script that he agreed to do it on principle. A few days back when the final narration happened, Salman was mighty impressed following which he decided to start working on this film before Karan Johar's long impending dream project Shuddhi.
So, get ready to see another superb jodi onscreen!
