New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan is playing the part of Godfather to debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty quite brilliantly. The two star kids will be having their big screen debut with ‘Hero'.
Salman, on the other hand, is turning out to be more than just the co-producer of the movie. He held the mic to sing the title track, ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera' and sat on the chair when the movie was being edited.
Salman reportedly chopped off 30 minutes from it including a kissing scene. There was news that Salman, who himself hasn't ever done an on-screen kiss, did not want his ‘children' Sooraj and Athiya to perform one.
“In one of the songs, Khoya khoya, the two are lying in the back of a truck when Sooraj pulls a blanket over them and kisses Athiya. It was just a peck… A brush of the lips… But even before I could see it, Salman did, and insisted on editing it out. His argument was that in all these years, he had never kissed onscreen, so there was no reason for his ‘children' to lock lips,” the movie's director Nikhil Advani had revealed.
However, when Salman was asked about the same at the Hero Music Concert which took place last night in Mumbai, he denied that. According to Salman, “There was no kissing scene in the first place. We wanted to put it but they (Sooraj and Athiya) refused.”
He also added, “They kept asking me why I haven't done it? Now if I haven't done a kissing scene in my career how can I ask them to do that?”
Salman's statement contradicts Nikhil's comment. Well, we don't know which story to believe but there is definitely no kissing scene in ‘Hero' which hits theatres on 11th September.
