New Delhi: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is quite a social butterfly, well the virtual one. He is quite active on Twitter, he constantly voices his opinions on current issues and doesn't pay much heed to criticism.
But, in a rare incident Rishi Kapoor almost made a fool of himself on Twitter. Here is what happened.
This evening Rishi Kapoor tweeted this photo of a will illuminated India. If you are active on social media, you must have seen it too. The ones who share this picture claim that this is how India looks on the night of Diwali. Most of us, have fallen for it too.
Rishi tweeted the picture with, “Last night on Diwali. So very proud seeing an illuminated India. Now want to see a peaceful loving nation! Jai Hind”
But the truth is this picture is a hoax. The image doesn't depict India on Diwali but it shows the population growth in India in different years.
Ironically the comedy group AIB (abbreviated for All India Bakchod) clarified the same in the last episode of their show, On Air With AIB.
And today when Rishi tweeted the pic, Roshan Joshi of AIB was quick to give him the link of the show they had made.
On realising his mistake Rishi Kapoor tweeted, “It could be fake, photo shopped, someone's imagination whatsoever. But I would like to believe and be positive that it's true.I am an optimist”
Well, looks like Rishi too fell for Internet hoaxes like million others. Just in case you still think that the image is of India on Diwali, here is the video by AIB to clear all your doubts once and for all.
