New Delhi: Tevar is Boney Kapoor's latest production starring son Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha for the first time. The film also has Manoj Bajpayee playing the antagonist.
Its superhit songs and Arjun-Sonakshi's camaraderie has given Tevar the much needed attention.
As the movie is all set to release this Friday, we bring you the reasons why Tevar is a must watch:
South Remake
'Tevar' happens to be an official remake of director Gunasekhar's 2003 Telugu film Okkadu, starring Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla. The film was a huge hit in South and it is expected to be one here as well.
Interestingly, Gunasekhar has written the script for Hindi version. The movie has been produced by Arjun's father Boney Kapoor, along with uncle Sanjay Kapoor.
The original was blockbuster due to its powerful performances and amazing action sequences.
We are hoping the Hindi remake will be power packed.
The Arjun-Sonakshi jodi
It is a fresh pairing that will definitely click with youngsters as both the feisty actors are known for their audience-appeal.
While there are rumours of the two dating off-screen, the makers would certainly want to cash in on that. And there is no second thought that they do look cool together.
Their crackling chemistry has definitely stolen million hearts.
Music
Tevar's music has been composed by brothers - Sajid-Wajid and it has so far worked well for the movie.
The song 'Main To Superman, Salman Ka Fan' became an instant hit ever since its release.
Also, international rapper Imran Khan's special number 'Let's Celebrate' has hit-it off with the audiences. ‘Radha Nachegi' is also a popular song from the movie.
Manoj Bajpayee
Ace actor Manoj Bajpaye, will be seen in a rustic avatar. People loved his performance in 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', and now it's 'Tevar', where he will show his acting prowess.
In this movie, Manoj is essaying the role of a villain, who performs some daredevil stunts as well. It's not always that we see the talented actor in a meaty role these days, but that could change with this movie. He is playing the main antagonist, who is obsessed with Sonakshi.
We know what an amazing actor he is and we are sure he will be able to pull this off with élan. We guess that Prakash Raj, who played the villain in the Tamil version isn't reprising his role here.
Full Masala Drama
Bollywood fans will agree that a good masala movie is what we all need to unwind after a tiring day.
It has song, dance, interesting chases; impossible love story that always finds a way in the end and of course, hero's bigger- than-life persona.
‘Tevar' is a total paisa wasool movie with full entertainment.
