Chennai: Noted cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, who had worked with the likes of Maniratnam, Priyadarshan, Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar among others, will soon be making his directorial debut with a tri-lingual movie with noted Tamil star Jiiva in the lead.
Produced by RS Infotainments, the movie to be made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, will also have Oscar winning sound technician Resul Pookutty and Editor Sreekar Prasad as part of the technical team, a release here said. “The movie marks the foray of Chandran as a director. He is now all set to direct the film that will feature Jiiva in the lead role,” it said.
Chandran is an acclaimed cinematographer known for his camera work in films including Dil Chahta Hai, Yuva and its Tamil version Ayutha Ezhuthu, Ghajini, My Name Is Khan and Agneepath among others.
The rest of the cast including female lead and other technicians were yet to be finalised.
