New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan was born on August 16, 1970 to highly acclaimed actress Sharmila Tagore and the legendry cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, junior Pataudi had a rough start in Bollywood with his movies bombing at the box office. He got success only with multi starred films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari in year 1994, Imtihaan in year 1995, Kachche Dhaage in year 1999 and Hum Saath-Saath Hain. His acting career, more or less, went through a relative slump until 2001. Saif has two sisters, Saba and Soha. Soha Ali Khan also acts in Bollywood films. The film became the second top grossing film of the year. Saif won Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award, as well as other awards in that category. Saif Ali Khan married actress Amrita Singh who was 7 years elder to him in October 1991. After, thirteen years of marriage and two children (son Ibrahim Ali Khan and daughter Sara Ali Khan), the couple divorced in 2004.
