New Delhi: Ranveer Singh has come unabashed on social media criticizing the latest report by a leading daily claiming that the actor was suffering from depression when one of his friends opted for suicide a while ago.
In his official post on Facebook, Ranveer has slammed DNA over a report that quoted an unnamed source saying "Deepika was suffering, it's true, but what no one knows is that Ranveer was the one who was disturbed and was seeking help. Deepika saw that he was having a tough time trying to come to terms with the suicide of a friend, who was dealing with depression. The friend shot himself last year, minutes after putting up a status on Facebook saying he was going to kill himself. But before any of his family members or friends could reach him, he had pulled the trigger. Those close to the deceased blamed themselves for not being able to help or doing enough or just being there with him."
While the actor has taken a stringent stance over this buzz, he also condemned the news piece calling it ‘Appallingly unethical' and a pure example of ‘IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM.'
Both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been allegedly dating each other for a while now. And as the lady enlightened us with her own example to battle the depression with utmost courage, Ranveer called the link up of his story of depression with Deepika's something really ‘uncalled for!'
As he expressed his rage, the actor has even mentioned that the two stories connected in the news report are unrelated and are done to for a ‘sensational effect.'
