New Delhi: Rani Mukerji's upcoming flick 'Mardaani' banned for children below 12.

Rani Mukerji's upcoming action movie 'Mardaani' has landed itself an 'A' certificate much to the angst of producer Aditya Chopra.

This would be a first ever 'A' certified flick for YRF films.

According to sources, the move from the Central Board of Film Certification has not gone down too well with producer Aditya Chopra, who has fought tooth and nail with the board members to rather give them a 'U/A' certificate but to his dismay the members have refused to change their decision.

If going by what CBFC member's claim than YRF's upcoming film 'Mardaani' starring Rani Mukerji has some scenes and dialogues that compel them to pass off the film only with an 'A'.

An insider tells, that during a scene a character playing a politician's role says, "Mera shauq rape hai." (Rape is my hobby). This dialogue was strongly objected by the board members.

The sources add, "Every member of the censor board was shocked, appalled and disgusted by the dialogue. But Mr. Chopra held his ground arguing that this was the reprehensible side of human trafficking that needed to be shown with brutal force. He argued for 15 minutes to retain that dialogue. But eventually he had to give in."

Another scene where a young girl was shown with blood oozing down her thighs, further angered some female members of the board who went on to argue with Aditya Chopra saying, "What he has shown was biologically inaccurate, and the scene had to go. Mr Chopra in defense argued with facts but in the end had to let go of the scene."

But in his defense he said, "This was how it was when young tender women were ravaged".

'Mardaani' being YRF's most brutal and rawest has raised some brows amid the members of the board who are in no moon to cater any challenge over their decision.
