'Rangeela' girl Urmila Matondkar turns 39 today

New Delhi, Feb4: The 'Rangeela' girl of Bollywood Urmila Matondkar has turned 39 today. Known as the sex symbol of Nineties, Urmila is one of those actresses who are acknowledged both as a child artistes and as well as adult actors. Today on her birthday, we would like to reveal some of her known and unknown factsUrmila was very good at academics in school. She was awarded the scholarship (state wide conducted examination) in the 4th standard. Before entering Bollywood, Urmila acted in a TV serial called ‘Katha Sagar' in 1986 and ‘Zindagi' in 1987.Urmila made her screen debut as a child artiste in the 1980 movie ‘Kalyug'. She debuted as an adult in Narasimha (1991). Most of us surely know, she played Naseeruddin Shah's daughter role in 'Chamatkar' but few of us might know that earlier too, she played his daughter's role in 'Masoom'.Urmila was once voted as one of the sexiest women in the world by Maxim magazine.Besides acting, Urmila Matondkar lent her voice to Asha Bhonsle's album Asha and Friends Vol 1.She set up herself as a well-known actress in mainstream Hindi cinema with her flicks including Rangeela (1995), Judaai (1997), and Satya (1998).
