Mumbai, Jan 31: Filmmaker Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra is keen to shoot his next project ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' starring Farhan Akhtar, in Pakistan.
The movie is a biographical sports drama, inspired by the life of Milkha Singh, one of the earliest sports icons of post-1947 India.
As the legendary athlete was born and brought up in the border towns of Pakistan, Mehra is keen to go same towns and shoot with actor who plays the central character. Hence he has been putting a lot of time and effort in getting the detailing of the project correct.
“We are quiet keen to shoot on the borders of Pakistan to get more authenticity to the film as Milkha was born in one of the towns there. We will be applying for permissions soon,” Mehra said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Farhan is devoting all his energies and getting ready to play the Flying Sikh of India. He has been going through rigorous training schedule.
