New Delhi: We all are aware that how heavy rains have taken a heavy toll in Chennai. The scale of devastation can be judged by the fact that there is no clean drinking water and food available for the people fighting this havoc.
Heartbroken by this unfortunate disaster, many movie stars have come forward to help the flood victims. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his ‘Dilwale' team made a donation of Rs 1 crore to make situations better for the affected people.
Also, actors from South Indian Film Industry such as Suriya and Allu Arjan have come forward and made a donation of Rs 25 lakh each. Actor Siddharth and RJ Balaji have been doing their bit since the very beginning to help the relief process speed up.
Now what we hear is that Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who earlier made a donation of Rs 10 lakh, has now donated a mammoth sum of Rs 10 crore. After getting slammed by his fans for lending a meagre sum, the superstar went on to donate a much bigger amount.
He made this donation to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund yesterday and wishes the well-being of all the flood victims.
Chennai has been super-strong in fighting the mega-disaster and this big help from Rajinikanth will add to their strength.
