Bollywood actor Rajeev Khandelwal who made his big screen debut with Aamir is super-excited about getting married to longtime girlfriend Manjiri Kamtikar, says a media report.
The actor who has been in a relationship with Manjiri, an advertising executive since quite sometime is making sure he leaves no stone unturned in preparing for his wedding.
“The wedding will be sometime early next year and we both are looking forward to it.”
“I am just not going to talk anymore about this because I don't want my marriage to be a public affair. I will get married and it will be far away from the media glare.”
Ironically around the same time the actor will also be seen in a film titled Will You Marry Me, which he says is a commercial film unlike Aamir and Joker.
“I am paired opposite Mugdha Godse and I am playing a casanova, quite unlike myself in real life. It is quite a coincidence that both the film and my marriage are happening around the same time. The film which is complete is in the editing stage and will release by the end of this year. Rajeev will be next seen in Joker, a film about a father-son relationship.”
Talking about his role, the actor says, “I am playing a single parent, a father to a five-year-old kid in the film. Playing a father came naturally to me and I had absolutely no inhibitions.” He agreed to play the part, right after he heard the first narration. “I just cut the first promo of the film two days back,” he says excitedly. Prachi Desai plays the female lead in the film and Rajeev plays her love interest.
The actor who received critical acclaim for his role in Aamir says that he is in no hurry to sign new projects.
Rajeev admits he has signed up for a new project which is a romantic musical film and will start shooting for it October end onwards.
On the long overdue Chenab Gandhi with Vibhu Puri, Rajeev says, “According to the news in the media, the producer and the director had a fallout so I guess the film must have been shelved. Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was producing it will be in a better position to comment on it.”
