New Delhi, Sept 10: Bollywood's dusky and sultry beauty Priyanka Chopra is all set for her debut as an international singer with her first single in album titled “In My City,” that features rapper will.i.am. The song is produced by RedOne (Lady Gaga) and Brian Kennedy.
Priyanka's debut single 'In My City' will be revealed at the pre-game show for NFL Network's “Thursday Night Football”. The show will air on September 13.
Earlier in an interview, the actor had said that she would want her music to have Indian roots but with a global appeal.
In early 2012, Priyanka became the first mainstream Bollywood star to be signed by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a renowned entertainment and sports agency headquartered in Los Angeles.
Moreover, the actor's commitments to her upcoming film ‘Barfi' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and south siren Ileana in main leads, would keep her from being in the US for launch. But nonetheless she would be celebrating the song's release right here in the country.
She told The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview, “I love music; I grew up with it thanks to my father, who loves to sing. We woke up every morning to music. I knew how to sing before I knew how to read.”
By any means, it is great start for Priyanka's professional singing career and hopefully, we expect her to keep us enthralling with her music.
